WHAT I TREAT

Separation shows up in many ways.

It isn’t only the paperwork and the logistics. It’s the grief of a future you planned, the identity you built around it, and the exhaustion of rebuilding while everyone expects you to be fine.

However it ended, and whoever ended it — you don’t have to carry this alone, or like this.

Sarah Buckle
01.

Grief for the future you planned

Mourning not just the relationship, but the life you thought you were building.

02.

Loss of identity

When who you were was woven into being someone’s partner, and now you’re not sure who’s left.

03.

Anxiety about what’s next

Money, housing, the children, being alone — a mind racing ahead to everything that could go wrong.

04.

Anger and resentment

At what was done, what was wasted, and what you gave that wasn’t returned.

05.

Guilt and second-guessing

Replaying every decision, and carrying blame that isn’t all yours to hold.

06.

Co-parenting strain

Trying to stay civil, consistent and calm for your children, while privately falling apart.

07.

Loneliness in a full house

Surrounded by people, and unreachable — because no one quite understands.

08.

Sleeplessness and exhaustion

A body keeping pace with a mind that won’t stop.

09.

Shame about ‘failing’

The sense you should have made it work, held it together, seen it coming.

10.

Fear of trusting again

The quiet certainty that you can’t risk this happening twice.

WHY TIME AND A GOOD FRIEND HAVEN’T BEEN ENOUGH

A separation doesn’t end when the papers are signed.

Everyone says it takes time, and it does. But for many women, time alone leaves the fear, the anger and the self-doubt exactly where they were.

THE PREFRONTAL CORTEX

Where the decision was made.

Logic, planning, the practical steps — the level advice works at. It knows the relationship is over. It can’t switch off the alarm below.

THE LIMBIC SYSTEM

Where the rupture is still felt.

The seat of attachment and safety. When trust is broken or a life is upended, it keeps firing as though the ground is still moving — which is where my work goes, gently.

You know it’s over. Part of you is still braced for the next blow. That’s the gap time alone can’t bridge.

WHAT A SESSION INVOLVES

Three simple steps.

01.

START WHERE YOU ARE

We begin gently, at your pace — with the loss, the fear and the anger exactly as they are. You never have to recount the hardest details.

02.

RELEASE WHAT’S HOLDING YOU

A simple, gentle process, a little like a visualisation, that lets your nervous system stand down and release the grief, guilt and fear tangled into the separation. You stay fully conscious throughout.

03.

REBUILD WHO YOU ARE

Then we build forward — your identity, your confidence, your own vision for what comes next. Most clients feel a noticeable shift by the end of their very first session.

My personal mission is to get my client at least some relief, from their very first session.

REAL STORIES, REAL RESULTS

What it feels like on the other side.

I have spent 10 years stuck and paralysed with indecision. After one session with Sarah, I have been able to make moves towards what I want in my personal life and career, without overwhelm or fear.
Sarah’s approach is wildly unconventional — and effective! Therapists I’ve seen previously have wanted me to rehash my past until I’m blue in the face. Literally a life-changing experience.

WHY WORK WITH ME

The difference you’ll actually feel.

01.

LIVED EXPERIENCE

I don’t just understand rebuilding a life professionally. I’ve done it. I know what it takes to put yourself back together, and I know it can be done faster than you fear.

02.

RESOLUTION, NOT REHASHING

You won’t be asked to retell the story week after week. We resolve what’s keeping you stuck, then turn you toward what’s next.

03.

A PATH FORWARD, NOT JUST SUPPORT

Support matters. Direction matters more. Every program ends with you clear on who you are and where you’re going.

04.

NO WAITLIST, NO REFERRAL

Private practice means no GP referral and no Medicare waitlist. Begin when you’re ready.

IS THIS RIGHT FOR YOU?

My approach isn’t for everyone — and I’d rather be honest about that.

This is for you if…

  • The separation is behind you on paper, but it’s still running your days
  • You’re holding it together for the children, or for work, and quietly falling apart
  • Fear, anger or self-blame have you stuck — looping instead of moving
  • You’re ready to rebuild, and want to do it on your own terms

It may not be the fit if…

  • You’re in an unsafe situation right now — your safety comes first, and I can help you find the right support
  • You’re in acute crisis and need immediate clinical or psychiatric care
  • You’re looking for ongoing, open-ended talk therapy rather than resolution
  • You’re not quite ready — and that timing deserves respect

This deserves gentleness, never a hard sell. The free consult is exactly where we work out, unhurried, whether this is right for you — and if specialist or medical support would serve you better, I’ll say so honestly.

AND IF I’M NOT THE RIGHT HELP?

My promise.

I’ll get you to whoever is.

Sometimes what looks like the aftermath of a separation is something else underneath it — trauma from the relationship, a mood disorder, or something that needs a different kind of care.

If that becomes apparent while we’re working together, I won’t leave you to work it out alone. Your investment goes toward identifying what’s actually going on and coaching you toward the right approach — and I’ll act as your champion through the system, so you get a shortcut instead of years of trial and error.

I can’t stand the thought of needless suffering. You’ll be delivered safely to the right help, either way.

In 98% of the cases I take on, I am the right help. The other 2% leave with a clear path to the person who is.

DID YOU KNOW?

I can also help you resolve…

  • Grief, loss and heartbreak
  • Anxiety
  • Low confidence and self-esteem
  • Guilt and self-blame
  • Anger and resentment
  • Narcissistic abuse recovery
  • Loss of identity
  • Trust and relationship patterns
  • Co-parenting stress
  • Sleeplessness
  • Sadness and low mood
  • Overthinking and rumination

LET’S BE HONEST

You don’t need to keep waiting to feel like yourself again.

The nights replaying what went wrong. The version of you that’s on hold until the dust settles. The life you’re not planning because you’re still recovering from the last one. None of that has to be the shape of your life.

So let’s build the next chapter, properly. Let’s get cracking.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Your questions, answered.

01.How soon after a separation should I start?

Whenever you’re ready. Some women come in the first weeks, others years later when they realise they never quite recovered. There’s no wrong time — only the moment you decide you’d like it to be different.

02.Do I have to talk through everything that happened?

No. Because we work with the subconscious rather than re-analysing the past, you never have to recount the hardest details. You share only what you choose to, and you remain safe and in control at every moment.

03.What if the separation wasn’t my choice?

Then the grief is real and the ground truly did move under you. This work is gentle with that. We resolve the shock and the rejection at the source, so you can rebuild from choice rather than from what was done to you.

04.Will I be hypnotised, or lose control?

No. You remain fully conscious and in control at every moment. The change work is gentle, closer to a guided visualisation than anything you’ve seen on stage.
