Trauma isn't a memory problem.
It's a nervous system problem.

Gentle, lasting recovery – without reliving it

The hypervigilance, the triggers, the way your body reacts as though it's still happening – that isn't weakness, and it isn't permanent. I help your nervous system finally register that it's over, so the past stops living in your present. Gentle, lasting, and online worldwide – and you never have to relive it to heal.

Sarah Buckle

"I carried it for twenty years, certain I'd never feel safe again. I didn't have to relive any of it – and for the first time, my body actually believes it's over."

What I work with

Trauma shows up in many ways.

It isn't only the dramatic moments. It's the way the past keeps shaping the present – in your body, your reactions, and your sense of safety. However it shows up, the source and the way through are the same.

Hypervigilance

Always braced, always scanning for threat – never quite able to feel safe, even when nothing is wrong.

Intrusive memories

Images, flashbacks, or memories that arrive uninvited and pull you back into something you'd rather leave behind.

Triggers & reactivity

Sounds, places, or moments that set off a wave of reaction far bigger than the present situation calls for.

Emotional numbness

Feeling disconnected, flat, or shut down – the nervous system's way of protecting you from feeling too much.

Childhood trauma

The long shadow of early neglect, criticism, or inconsistency – still shaping how safe you feel today.

Betrayal & relational trauma

The aftermath of infidelity, deception, or harm by someone you trusted – and the difficulty trusting again.

Emotional & narcissistic abuse

Rebuilding trust in your own perceptions after a relationship that taught you to doubt them.

Abandonment wounds

A deep fear of being left, rejected, or not chosen – driving anxiety and patterns in close relationships.

Sleep disturbance & nightmares

A mind and body that won't fully stand down at night – broken sleep, vivid dreams, or waking on alert.

Avoidance

Steering around the people, places, or conversations that stir it up – and the way life narrows around it.

Shame & self-blame

Carrying responsibility for what happened to you – a weight that was never yours to hold.

Feeling permanently changed

The sense that the trauma broke something for good – that you'll never get back to who you were.

No matter what happened, or how long ago – your suffering can be resolved.

Is this right for you?

Who I work with best.

My approach isn't for everyone – and with trauma especially, I'd rather be honest about that. Here's how to know if it's the right fit for you.

This is for you if…
  • The past still lives in your present – through triggers, hypervigilance, or reactivity
  • You've done years of talk therapy that gave you insight but never real relief
  • You're ready to actually resolve it – not keep re-examining it indefinitely
  • You want a gentle approach that doesn't require you to relive what happened
  • You're looking for a private, premium approach without waitlists or referrals
× It may not be the fit if…
  • You're in acute crisis and need immediate clinical or psychiatric support right now
  • You have complex needs that call for specialist or medical trauma care
  • You're looking for ongoing, open-ended talk therapy rather than resolution
  • You're not quite ready to make a change right now – and that's completely okay

Trauma deserves care, not a hard sell. The free consult is exactly where we work out gently whether this is right for you – and if specialist or medical support would serve you better, I'll say so honestly and help point you toward it.

The science

Why understanding it hasn't set you free.

Years of talk therapy can help you understand exactly what happened and why you feel the way you do. That insight matters. But for many people, the body still reacts as though the danger is here – and here's why.

Trauma isn't stored as a rational memory. It's held in the limbic system – the primitive, subconscious part of the brain that runs your fight, flight, freeze response. It never got the message that the event is over, so it keeps the alarm running, below conscious awareness.

That's why I don't work by re-analysing the past. I work directly with the system still holding the charge – helping it finally register that you're safe now, so the past stops firing in the present. You never have to relive it for this to work.

What to expect

What a session actually involves.

A gentle, genuinely different approach – designed to create lasting change without re-living or re-traumatising what you've been through.

01
Establish safety first

We start with the ground beneath you

We begin gently, at your pace – building a felt sense of safety before anything else. Because we work with the subconscious, you can share as much or as little as you wish. You never have to recount the details. You're in control, always.

02
Do the change work

We release the charge

I guide you through a gentle, structured process – a little like a guided visualisation – that helps your nervous system let go of the old threat response and finally register that it's over. You stay fully conscious and safe throughout.

03
Test the results

We confirm the shift

Before you leave the session, I take you through a process to confirm the change has settled – so you don't just hope it's different, you feel that it is. For most, this work creates a profound, lasting sense of relief.

The real question

What is carrying it already costing you?

Most people focus on the cost of getting help. But carrying trauma has a price too – one you've been quietly paying for a long time.

The nights your body won't rest. The closeness you hold at arm's length. The energy it takes to stay braced. The version of your life that stays just out of reach because part of you is still protecting against something that already happened.

The question isn't whether you can afford to resolve it. It's how much longer you're willing to pay the cost of not.

Simple, transparent investment

What it costs to resolve it.

No packages to decode, no hidden fees. Just clear, honest pricing for work designed to be done in weeks, not years.

Before you book

Your questions, answered.

Do I have to relive my trauma or share all the details?
No – and this matters most of all. Because we work with the subconscious rather than re-analysing the past, you never have to recount or relive what happened. My approach is specifically designed to resolve trauma without re-traumatising you, which is something that can happen with methods that require you to relive painful events. You share only what you choose to.
How is this different from seeing a psychologist?
A psychologist typically works with your conscious understanding of what happened. I work at the level beneath that – with the nervous-system response still holding the charge. That's why the change tends to be faster and more lasting. Most of my clients come to me after years of therapy that helped them understand their trauma, but never resolved how their body still reacts to it.
Will I be hypnotised, or lose control?
No. You remain fully conscious, safe, and in control at every moment. The change work is gentle – closer to a guided visualisation than anything you've seen on stage. We move entirely at your pace.
What if my trauma is very old, or from childhood?
That's exactly who much of this work is for. How long ago it happened doesn't determine how long it takes to resolve – what matters is that the nervous system is still holding it. Trauma carried for decades can still shift, often more gently and quickly than people expect.
How many sessions will I need?
It varies more with trauma than with other issues, but for many it's still a small number of focused sessions rather than open-ended therapy. We'll map out a bespoke plan together at your consult, at a pace that feels safe, so you know what to expect before you begin.
What if I'm not sure I'm ready?
That's completely okay, and worth honouring. There's no pressure here. The free consult is simply a gentle conversation to explore whether this feels right for you – and if now isn't the time, or if specialist support would serve you better, I'll tell you honestly and help point you toward it.
Do I need a GP referral or a mental health plan?
No. This is a private practice, so there's no referral required and no Medicare waitlist to navigate. You can book directly, and I often have near-term availability.
