The science

Why thinking your way out of it has never worked.

The standard treatment for anxiety is CBT – it teaches you to notice anxious thoughts, challenge them, and replace them with rational ones. It's reasonable. But it has a fundamental flaw.

Anxiety doesn't originate in rational thought. It lives in the limbic system – the primitive, subconscious part of the brain that runs your fight, flight, freeze response. It operates below conscious awareness, and it doesn't respond to rational argument.

That's why I don't work at the level of your thoughts. I work directly with the system underneath them – interrupting the threat response at the source, so calm becomes your default rather than something you have to fight for.

How is this different from seeing a psychologist?
A psychologist typically works with your conscious thoughts – helping you understand and manage your anxiety. I work at the level beneath that, with the subconscious patterns and the nervous-system response actually driving it. That's why the change tends to be faster and more lasting. Most of my clients come to me after therapy that helped them understand their anxiety, but never resolved it.
Will I be hypnotised, or lose control?
No. You remain fully conscious and in control at every moment. The change work is gentle – closer to a guided visualisation than anything you've seen on stage. I don't induce hypnosis unless a client specifically asks for it, and even then, you're always aware and in charge.
Do I have to relive my trauma or share all the details?
Not at all. Because we work with the subconscious rather than re-analysing the past, you can share as much or as little as you're comfortable with. My approach is specifically designed to create change without re-traumatising you – something that can happen with approaches that require you to relive painful events.
What if it doesn't work for me?

Is it really possible to resolve anxiety this quickly?
I understand the scepticism – especially if you've struggled for years. But rapid doesn't mean superficial. Because the work targets the source cause directly rather than managing symptoms over time, lasting change genuinely can happen in a handful of sessions.
